Happy St. Patrick's Day from Gangnam

Happy St. Patrick's Day from Korea. And yes, I did infact look like that crazy little leprechaun on Saturday night. We had a great time. My friends from work and I went to this really classy Irish Bar called Dublin Terrace in the heart of Gangnam. This place made Irish Times from New York look like McDonald's. It felt all medieval, and it was all you can drink Guinness with a buffet all night for Won 50,000 (about $30). The incredible thing is that the average Guinness in Seoul (or Korea for that matter) is about $10. So, we really kicked it to them...lol. They had some good bands playing, and I unsuccessfully tried to get up on stage several times to play. What are you gonna do? I was in the moment. Let's just say we put em' down that night and had a blast. The owners definitely thanked Budha when we left..lol.

So, today was actually St. Patty's over here. It was very mild to said Saturday night. The boys from work and I got off early and took the train to Shinsu, a really nice part of town. We got some Irish coffee and just people watched. And by people I mean beautiful Asian women strutting their stuff in the beautiful March weather we've been having. Spring has sprung. Thank God for that. I want to enjoy it as much as I can before the unbearable Seoul Summer Heat hits home.

To my family and friends. I hope you drank one for me. I miss you all. Hey, by this time right now Dan probably is getting a pretty sturdy "Tankin" on. This will be the first year for me without Corned Beef and Cabbage followed by my Mom's awesome Irish Soda Bread. I am missing that I must tell you. But, I gotta go to bed early so I can functionally teach Korean students who don't speak English English. I need all the energy I can get, trust me.

Happy St. Patty's everyone
